SAFS Annual General Meeting will be held at the University of Western Ontario on May 10, 2008. 

Please mark this date on your calendar, and we hope to see you at the meeting in May.

Keynote Speakers:

Our keynote speakers this year are: Jim Côté http://sociology.uwo.ca/faculty/cote.html, and Anton Allahar http://sociology.uwo.ca/faculty/allahar.html,  professors of sociology at the University of Western Ontario.  Their keynote topic is based on their recent, controversial best seller, Ivory Tower Blues: A university system in crisis.  Côté and Allahar focus on student disengagement and grade inflation and show how these problems have weakened educational standards and student achievement.
